Jakarta’s Pageo Utama has expanded its range of services with the establishment of an in-house fleet of 12 workclass remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs) operating under a new subsidiary in Singapore, Pageo SubOcean.

Pageo is a provider of hydrographic survey, positioning and subsea support facilities to the offshore oil and gas industry with bases in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.

Supported by a specialist team of operational personnel and shore-based staff, all ROVs are fitted with state-of-the-art manipulators and sensors, and can be configured in either tethered management system or free-swim mode.

Pageo CEO Sobri Syawie said their introduction will considerably extend the company’s portfolio of services to other market areas. This includes inspection repair and maintenance, drill support, detailed sea floor mapping and survey tasks, in addition to other intervention support activities for the construction and cable industries.

The firm has been providing its range of specialist services throughout the Asia Pacific region, as well as those offshore Argentina and Mexico for over 10 years.
