COSL completes first Far East exploration

China Oilfield Services Ltd. (COSL) completed its first exploration operation in the Far East, making a new prospect for the company in the area.

COSL said the operation was complicated, and complex due the fishery and year-round foggy weather. Furthermore, operating in the shallow water zone was a threat to the underwater equipment.

Faced with these challenges, however, the company developed a seamless solution; fostered in advance the weather and tidal cycles of the operation regions; and prepared protection measures for the equipment to lower the operation risks.

With the seamless coordination among the seismic operation team of HYSY 718, the firm completed the operation safely.
