Valmec secures New Zealand gig

Australian infrastructure service group Valmec Ltd., has secured a contract for the supply, installation, supervision and commissioning of two gas compressor packages from Vector Gas Ltd., for its compression project in Auckland, New Zealand.

The packages will be designed and manufactured by Exterran Offshore Ltd., a subsidiary of Exterran Corp., and with whom Valmec has a sales representation agreement. Exterran’s works will be undertaken at their Singapore facilities.

With a contract value of approximately AU$4.3 million, works on the project are expected to commence immediately, with the start-up and commissioning phases to be completed in mid-2017.
